Nancy Snyder is the President / CEO of Commonwealth Corporation. Before joining CommCorp this past June, Nancy had worked at the Boston Private Industry Council for 12 years as Deputy Director for Workforce Development. Nancy also designed and implemented a numer of innovative programs while directing Jobs and Community Services for the City of Boston, Workforce Development for the Boston Department of Health and Hospitals, and 9 to 5, Boston's Organization for Working Women.

She has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Boston University and is a graduate of the Advanced Management program at the Harvard Business School.

Susan Lange is the Vice President of the Youth Pathways division at Commonwealth Corporation. For the last ten years, Susan was the Deputy Director of Youth Opportunity (YO) Boston, a workforce development program for adjudicated youth. While there, she developed YO’s Transitional Employment Program which was recognized as a Best Practices model by the US Department of Labor.

Susan has more than 20 years experience as a teacher, curriculum developer, and program administrator in programs that provide services to disconnected youth. Susan is a member of the National Transitional Jobs Network, the Communities Connecting Resources for Youth (CCRY) Network under the Center for Law and Social Policy and was a member of Boston Mayor Menino’s Strategic Crime Council.

She holds a Master’s degree in Education from UMass at Boston.

Navjeet Singh joined Commonwealth Corporation in 2003 and is Vice President for Research and Evaluation.  He leads a team that determines the effectiveness of education and workforce development programs and conducts research on labor market information trends in Massachusetts.

Navjeet enjoys exploring the crossroads of labor market research and strategy development, and has been the force behind the Skills Gap research project on the availability of skills commensurate with the needs of employers and the implications of the baby boom generation retiring.  Navjeet manages the various evaluation projects associated with the Extended Care Career Ladder Initiative (ECCLI), a sectoral project for direct-care workers at nursing homes and home care agencies. 

Experienced in economic and business research, Navjeet worked in operations and strategy development at Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies before coming to Commonwealth Corporation. Navjeet has an MS in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a BS from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Hans van der Lee joined Commonwealth Corporation in 1995 and, as Vice President for Finance and Administration, is responsible for all aspects of the financial and information technology infrastructure and management at Commonwealth Corporation.  Critical functions include maintaining the financial integrity of the corporation, financial support of all programs, and ensuring the effectiveness and integrity of the IT network.

Originally a native of the Netherlands but residing in the United States since 1971, Hans developed extensive experience as a cost accountant in financial and logistical management of manufacturing in Massachusetts and Asia.  Some of the basic principles utilized in this process, such as budgeting, cost management, and variance accounting, have been successfully applied to Commonwealth Corporation to facilitate fiscal management and reporting.

Hans has lived and worked in several countries and has worked in United States, European, Japanese, and Thai corporations.  He was educated in the arts and business and as such brings a diverse cultural background, which helps to address corporate challenges.
