DYS Teacher/Community Resources
The Commonwealth Corporation in partnership with the Hampshire Educational Collaborative prepared the Instructional Guides listed in the links below for teachers within the state's DYS educational system on behalf of the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services.
The Instructional Guides are intended to provide DYS teachers with instructional support that is aligned with the extensive program of professional development, training, and coaching provided by Hampshire Educational Collaborative in partnership with the Commonwealth Corporation. The Instructional Guides are also aligned with both the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks as well as with the goals and principles of the DYS education system.
Materials are copyrighted by the Commonwealth Corporation, and may be reproduced and used by instructional staff in DYS educational settings without prior approval. One copy of this material may be downloaded, printed, and used by any individual for personal use outside the DYS system. Materials may be downloaded, printed, or distributed in quantity for use outside the DYS system only by prior written permission of the Commonwealth Corporation.
